oh gosh, i had a terribly sad supernatural dream just now. they were investigating something in an egyptian tomb, a pyramid, and it was very old and catacombish, all crumbling etc. at one point dean was in there, and he got trapped in this doorway-high (oh dear, i can't think of another word for it:) shaft that opened up in front of him. there was a demon behind him and so, like the room that appears when you most need it in hogwarts, a door in the shaft opened and dean tumbled out. it was a door put there specifically for the egyptian kings to escape the tomb if, you know, they weren't really dead; and it only opened if you were in dire need.
as everyone else had thought him trapped in the pyramid and dead, sam was somewhat happy to see him. but of course, the case wasn't finished with, then.
so dean and sam and this other girl went back into the tomb. and yet again, things get a bit worrisome, but dean knows the way out, now - he directs them toward where the doorway is, but there's only room for the two of them in the passageway, so sam and the girl end up crammed in there while dean keeps an eye out above. the danger level is rising, so dean tries to frighten them so the door will open, but can't get it to work (even though he can see something coming - possibly because sam is just all bull-headed and won't even consider leaving dean/isn't in dire need while dean's still there) but somehow dean manages to prise open the door. sam and the girl tumble out, the door slams behind them, and that's it.
as in, that's the first half of the dream. the second half is sam just waiting for dean to turn up alive again, because dean always turns up alive, no matter how bad you think it is for him. he's done it before. he does it every time. dean's not dead, sam's just waiting for him to tumble out of that door, appear randomly. sam will walk around a corner and dean will be there slouching on a car bonnet and smirking at how sammy thought he was really gone. because dean can't be really gone. he just can't.
and years go by and sam is still waiting for dean to pop up, all smirky-like at the fact that he's fooled sam, but still glad to see him. dean gave sam a set of dice with heiroglyphs on them while they were still in the tomb, so no doubt there's a message in there somewhere, if sam rolls and translates them, right? but it's all gibberish. sam gets more and more withdrawn and delusional; the more time that passes the more energy he has to spend convincing himself that dean isn't gone, no one's able to convince him otherwise.
oh gosh, sam.
anyway, that was rather sad. OH. *squishies them together*
in slightly less sad news,

from here.
will it rend the fabric of the space-time-continuum on my flist if i suggest this-era!jensen/slightly-younger-era!elijah? i think if they had sex, the space-time-continuum would probably rend due to the pretty anyway. like magnets trying to be pushed together at the wrong end. so to speak.
