I'm going to write an Ash fic, I've decided. However, I need some cultural guidance. Whereabouts in the States is Ash originally from, d'you reckon? Judging by his accent, etc. Is he a stereotype of a particular place, or just the general US trash aesthetic?

Detroit is definitely a contender.. although I was thinking more of a rural part of Michigan. Cheboygan or something. Because I think the word "Cheboygan" is funny.
