I'm going to write an Ash fic, I've decided. However, I need some cultural guidance. Whereabouts in the States is Ash originally from, d'you reckon? Judging by his accent, etc. Is he a stereotype of a particular place, or just the general US trash aesthetic?

The amazing and terrifying thing about the states is the way that representatives of a regional style can be found anywhere, but as a general rule I'm going to disagree on the Philly/NJ tip (I was born in Philly if that gives me any weight). Detroit? Maybe. I'd put him somewhere in the Midwest, but I couldn't locate him any more precisely.
