It's a freaky crossover.
Sam is both Luke, and the Wookie (you can tell by his hair, right?).
Dean is Leia and Han Solo (he both loves himself, gets all the girls, AND has incestuous tension with his brother).

John = Obiwan. Hopefully.
And he'll come back stronger than we could possibly imagine. In season 3.
