Oh, I wish I could help. But I've read so many rec pages in the last week or two for SPN that I really haven't a clue which one gave me the link for this story. I am pretty much brand new to the fandom (haven't even seen season two yet, which is why I searched out stories at the latest written during the summer) and have been seeking out the good stuff. I've gone through the memories of reccing communities like 37flavors, recs, rec50, polyfandomrecs, seedy_recs, spn_recs, and crack_van so it could have been from any of those. But I've also been randomly checking out the memories of some SPN fans on my friendslist and seeing which are their favorite stories so I guess it could have been from a rec list they had saved in their memories.
