oh, woman. I'm going through an orgy of catching up...and this (and the two before)...wee!Dean running after the car with little Sammy inside and John finding him...I'm broken.
Oh, god. That was shattering in the best possible way. Dean staggering down the road after the car, oh fuck. This is brilliantly, brilliantly written. If you don't mind indulging my curiosity, how many drafts/rewrites do you do to get to this point, cos Jesus, it's pretty damn nearly perfect...
Oh MAN. I found this series yesterday and added your fiction journal (Hi! Nice to meet you!) but wasn't expecting another update so soon. DAMN. This seriously made me ACHE, for the image of little Dean following after the kidnappers, for John's panic, for him needing Mary so badly because he doesn't know what to do. **surreptitiously wipes eyes**
You did a good job of breaking my heart with this.
I tried to comment earlier on part 1 and 2, but LJ was f*cking with me, and I gave up. Just wanted to let you know that I liked them a lot and was moved by them.
Fuck me, this gives a whole new meaning to the word "brutal". I can't... okay. I want to come up with some kind of cogent review but this fic literally destroyed my soul too badly for me to manage it. God.
*curls up into a tiny ball* Oh, oh. :( Heart-piercingly painstakingly awful, in the sense "full of awe." And the wee ones. I have such a soft spot for themm and I can always see your wee Sam with particularly vivid clarity, and then you follow it up with a serious kick in the guts. Wow.
Dean hasn’t stopped walking. Or stumbling, more like, body tottering forward like every time he sets his foot down it’s stopping him from falling face-down as much as it’s propelling him forward. He’s still in his pyjamas, faded blue with dirty cuffs, his feet bare. He doesn’t stop when John shouts out at him, doesn’t even turn. Dean’s sobbing, the sound loud in the still night, overriding the rumble of the engine behind John, Dean pulling in breaths with sharp hitches. For Dean to know he was the only line of defense between Sammy and the world, and to know that he failed - I can't believe he's not more broken. Oh, this fic is so marvelous.
Oooh, just read all three of the lost memory ones.
I liked the first one the best, with poor Dean reaslising his dad doesn't know them and telling him it'll be all right. Poor hon. At fidt I thought it might be a story about John back in his army days. I love how his memory goes back to there.
And this one. The despair. Makes me wonder though if Sammy is somehow responsible for the deaths in that house. Why else was he untouched? You're making me think too hard girl. Thanks. :)

Oh noes, you had me in pieces dude, absolute pieces. What a job, I have the biggest melty heart for baby Sammy, and your Dean is equally adorable.
I love your young family what a tragic, angsty event to fuck them over even more.
