Mary has a much better and to-the-point "why Cloverfield was awesome" (sans spoilers) here. (It also explains the sudden weird posts last night *cough*)

I will addendumise Mary's post, though, with the statement that: I don't play computer/video games myself, and definitely didn't feel like I was while watching the film. I say that not to deliberately contradict Miz, but so that people like myself (not interested in gaming) aren't put off. This is far from the stylings of "Doom"; closer to Blair Witch Project only done 10,000,000 times better.

Awesome, awesome movie. And I can't stand watching horror films. And I was terrified. And it was awesome.

Yep.

"Because we never really know each other as well as we think, in response to this post I'd like you to ask a question. Anything about which you are curious, anything you feel you ought to know about me. Silly, serious, personal, fannish. Ask away. Then, if you want, copy this to your own journal, and see what people don't know about you."
