I went into this reluctantly, as most of the fan vids I've seen aren't exactly brilliant, or even worth the three minutes of so to watch them. But crack_impala usually delievers pretty decent stuff, so I clicked at their recommendation.
I'll be completely honest here: I started grinning less than a minute in, and was full out laughing my ass off before the second minute. No other vid's made me laugh that hard before. I really think I'm bookmarking this to watch again when I feel like crap.
It wasn't too long, either, which I appreciate. Even with some of the better videos I've seen, eventually they cross that fuzzy little line and take it longer than it really should be. Short blasts of brilliance are the best bets for at least Spn fanvids, in my opinion. This definitely delievered on both parts. :)
Thank you so much for this - it was so, so well put together and absolutely HYSTERICAL to boot. Brilliance.

Thank you so much for the lovely feedback! I'm with you... I have very little patience for vid-watching, and am often irritated/frustrated by those that go nowhere (and go even more nowhere the longer they drag on).

See, I thought the bbm one was real cute, but this? Is really quite wonderful. It has a much more, erm, 3-dimensional-type feel to it. Like you stretched the score of the music and fit the visual pieces in in a more complex pattern? And even though there certainly is silliness, I mainly feel the sucker-punch. It doesn't hurt, that Dean is the one character I find real interesting even without knowing much about spn.

So. wow.

Huh. Should have skimmed other comments sooner. Feel quite clueless now - oh, well.

Eh, I'm not big on authorial intent. Generally what I put out there is not something I'm keen on people "getting" as I intended. I get a huge kick out of people interpreting my work in unexpected ways, so yay you!
