Summary: Jack's a captive on the Valiant and the Master has initiated the extinction of humanity. Meanwhile, in Cardiff, the imminent threat has triggered a lockdown of the Hub, trapping the Torchwood Three team inside. For a year. (A "year-that-wasn't" story of exceeding silliness.)

One time the Winchesters never got married
Supernatural; Sam, Dean; gen... WITH SUBTEXT!, PG-13.
Crackish! AU in the legal sense. Vague, vague spoilers for 1.12.
Also with the warning that this is one of those ones that I just sit down and scribble out in a couple of hours, unbeta'd and scribbly and undoubtedly full of typos or somesuch. Anyhoo. I've been threatening that one for a while! Hah.
Also, this is like, the most appropriate post for this icon EVER. *loves on it a lot*

crack! I've always been a bit of a crackish author with AUs and whatnot, but with Supernatural I'm like the covergirl for the DVD of "fanfiction authors gone WILD!" (there's a wet keyboard competition in scene 5). SPN crack scenarios I have written:
- Amnesia
- Genderswap
- [Curse]-made-us-do-it
- Werewolves (a few times)
- Bodyswap (in-progress)
- Cross-dressing
- *cough* Yak-Fucking
I think I really like doing that "3 ways the Winchesters..." format. It's fun. I love adopting a crack scenario in its raw premise form and seeing how it fits with the characters. And it's a great writing exercise, not too pressuring, as it's really just a short idea exploration rather than something epic, with like, a plot and stuff. Also, readers seem to like it *g*.
So, a poll:
[Poll #854356]
That isn't to say that I'm abandoning all other projects in order to write more crack. (Er, though a lot of my other projects are also crack.) Nope, as soon as I'm able, it's guns a-blazing on the bodyswap, college years, necrophilia, CPS, and slut!Sam!

angstslashhope: "love bar" is such a precarious phrase.
angstslashhope: as in, dean has a particular fondness for john's love bar.

yak fucking going on that no one's raised the possibility of were-yaks! I mean, cmon guys. It's practically canon for this show. Like, what if...
Er, let us never speak of this again. Apologies for hijacking the sandpit (or was it handbasket?). I guess were-things are just my... thing. You can take all the yaks back, now.
